Master Painters NZ #188 15 Beerescourt Rd, Hamilton
Home/Services/Commercial painting

Commercial painting,
around your trading hours.

Shops, schools, retirement homes, restaurants, motels, factories and churches. We work to your operating schedule, not to ours. Quoted by Matt in person, scoped honestly, scheduled with no surprises.

How a commercial job runs

First visit is Matt walking the site with you. He maps the work, asks the right questions about your trading hours and noise tolerance, and writes up a quote that lists paint brand, colour, sheen, number of coats, prep stage and timeline. No surprise add-ons later.

On site, the crew runs to that scope. We isolate work zones with proper barriers and signage. We schedule loud work (sanding, waterblasting, spraying) outside trading hours where it matters. Walkways stay clean. Tools and ladders stowed at the end of each day.

Building types we work on

Verbatim from past work and the project types we quote for regularly:

  • Shops and retail. Inside and out, after-hours or staged room-by-room
  • Schools. Term-break repaints, classroom interiors, exterior weatherboards
  • Retirement homes. Resident-friendly, low-VOC paints, room-by-room scheduling
  • Restaurants and cafés. Worked around service hours, careful around food prep
  • Motels. Room rotations, exterior cycles, signage repaints
  • Factories. Industrial coatings, structural steel, line-marking touch-ups
  • Churches. Heritage trims, vaulted interiors, careful access
  • Townhouses and apartments. Body-corporate work, common areas, exterior cycles

Maintenance and cyclical repaints

Most commercial buildings sit on a 5 to 8 year exterior repaint cycle. Touch-ups and high-traffic interior areas come round faster. We can quote a one-off, or a maintenance schedule that keeps the building looking sharp without ever needing the full strip-and-repaint.

Body corporates and property managers: we keep good records of paint codes, batch numbers and dates per building, so touch-ups two years later actually match.

Health, safety and access

Site-specific safety plans for every commercial job. Working-at-height qualified. Scaffold or scissor lifts where they're needed. All paints chosen for the environment they're going into: low-VOC for occupied interiors, anti-graffiti where it makes sense, premium exterior for coastal exposure.
